Relevant Safety Bulletins or Recalls

NHTSA Bulletin 22-043: Issued in January 2022, this bulletin specifically addresses sidewall cracks near the slide-outs on certain Jayco fifth-wheel models. The bulletin outlines recommended repair procedures for this recurring issue, including steps to inspect and reinforce the affected areas to prevent further damage to the aluminum frame and sidewall. This issue is known to affect models from 2011 to 2020, including the Jayco Eagle, North Point, and Pinnacle. While the bulletin provides repair instructions, some owners have allegedly reported that cracks reappear after repairs, raising concerns about long-term safety and structural stability. These reports suggest that the manufacturer’s repair solutions may not fully resolve the underlying problem

Jayco Recall No. 21V245: Issued for various Jayco models (2017-2021) due to alleged propane regulator failures, which pose a potential fire hazard

Jayco Recall No. 21V317: Issued for the 2021 Jay Feather Micro due to the risk of the spare tire carrier allegedly detaching, creating a potential road hazard

Jayco Recall No. 23V081: This recall affects 2019-2023 models, such as the Entegra Launch and Jayco Melbourne, due to a vehicle rollaway risk that may pose serious safety concerns

Keystone Recall No. 20V320: Affects 2020 Springdale models due to allegedly incorrect axles and tire load ratings, which may lead to overloading and an increased risk of accidents

Keystone Recall No. 23V082: Issued for 2021-2023 Carbon, Fuzion, and Impact models due to alleged fuel station controller failures, which pose a potential fire hazard

Heartland Recall No. 21V453: Covers 2020-2021 models like Mallard and North Trail due to alleged improperly tightened gas lines at the outside cooktop, creating a possible fire risk

These safety bulletins and recalls suggest that structural defects and other safety concerns may continue to affect various RV manufacturers. This information can help demonstrate the potential risks associated with these vehicles and may be relevant to any claims or concerns you have about your RV.
